Geology Gallery

detachment folding, kyrgyzstan

One of the benefits of being a field geologist is the landscapes and processes that you get immersed in.  Since geology is such a visual science, the second best way to experience or re-examine these landscapes is through photography.  Of course, it’s no substitute for actually being there, but it’s close.  Feel free to share these images, or contact me using the form below for higher to full-resolution (up to 10- 24 megapixel, depending on the camera I used at the time) versions for use in geology classes or elsewhere.  All I ask is a short acknowledgement when/ where you use the image(s).
