Succor Creek, Oregon

The far corner of southeast Oregon is one of the most remote areas in the Pacific Northwest- high desert, ephemeral streams, stark landscapes, and a rich (albeit violent) volcanic history. I spent a long weekend there in late April 2017 on a field trip with Whitman College’s Geology Department, enjoy some photos of rocks and people learning about those rocks!
